Health conditions of children adopted from abroad raise many questions and considerations. Adoption applicants are required to take a position on the possible state of health of the child in their adoption application. Sometimes suggested health conditions may require specific knowledge by the adoptive parents.
Save the Children Finland Intercountry Adoption Service will organise an online medical lecture on the health of an adopted child by Pediatrician Ms. Marika Grönroos, from Turku University Central Hospital. The seminar will be organised on 6 June 2020 from 14.00 to 15.30 through Teams video conference application.
The online lecture specially targets those applicants who are currently participating in adoption coucelling or are experiencing the waiting period. Also families already having adopted children and other professionals are welcome. The lecture focuses on the background and health information sheet for an adopted child that needs to be submitted by all adoptive parents.
Register for the online medical lecture by 28 May 2020 through the following link: https://link.webropolsurveys.com/S/BCDBB2B7681413FE
