Welcome to Save the Children Conference on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism!
Save the Children Finland organizes a one-day Preventing & Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) -conference on Tuesday 29.11.2022. The conference takes place in Helsinki, Finland, but will be streamed and online participation is open for everyone.
The theme of the conference is online radicalization of the youth.
During the day we will hear topical presentations from Nordic scholars researching radicalization and extremism. And in addition, the Swedish and Finnish Save the Children organizations will present their current work regarding P/CVE.
The conference will be streamed and is open for everyone, welcome!
Programme of the event:
The conference will start at 9:30 (EET) with a welcoming speech, following a panel discussion addressing ongoing projects and practices in different Nordic Save the Children branches. Additionally, there will be presentations regarding ongoing research projects focusing on different aspects of online radicalization of the youth in Nordic countries. The conference will end around 16:30 (EET).
