Save the Children Finland is a member of the Save the Children International (SCI), which is the world’s leading umbrella organisation in the fight for children's rights and is made up of 29 national Save the Children member organisations, including the Finnish Pelastakaa Lapset, the Swedish Rädda Barnen, the Norwegian Redd Barna, the Danish Red Barnet, the British Save the Children UK, and the Save the Children organisation of the United States. Save the Children International works for children's rights in more than 120 countries.
The work of the Save the Children International is co-ordinated by a London-based Secretariat, which receives its guidelines through the decisions made at the Alliance's general meetings. All the member organisations stand united by a common vision and mission. The Save the Children's joint efforts consist of long-term development co-operation, influencing work, and emergency relief operations.
