Holiday home services

For more than 50 years, Save the Children Finland has been providing holidaymaking opportunities for children at our holiday homes located in the countryside. These homes belong to families who live in them the year round or use them for recreational purposes, and who share a genuine devotion for children and a will to help them when needed.

Support family services

Support families help families with children to cope with their everyday life when the parents' own vigour and resources have run short. This is one of our various support services aimed at helping children and their families together, allowing them to renew energies.

Support person services

The objective of the support person services is to help small children's families with the aid of voluntary support persons. The help provided is free for the families.

Family placement services

The foster families that work with us offer their homes to take in children who need short-time or long-term foster care in a family.

Children's homes

Our children's homes, which can each take in 8 children at a time, are meant to provide foster care in accordance with the Child Protection Act and in co-operation with parents, local governments and various sponsors and partners.

Adoptions

Adoptions allow a child to have a new family and home. The process starts with adoption guidance for the prospective adopters. Read more

Therapy and psychosocial services

These services are intended for children and their families and include, for example, individual therapy, family therapy, peer groups, and other interactive support services.

Consulting and training services

Consulting services are available at our Central Office as well as at our five Area Offices. The lawyer’s services are intended for local governments, and the other consulting services are provided as child protection support for both professionals and families with children.

Development projects

Our development projects are aimed at improving the quality of child protection.
